Linda K. Knauss, Ph.D., ABPP, is a recognized authority on ethics, locally, regionally, and nationally and so we honor her. She is the Chair of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association's Ethics Committee, Chair of the American Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee, and serves as a member of Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists' Ethics Advisory group. In addition, Dr. Knauss is also a member of the Ethics Committee of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Knauss taught courses in ethics at Widener University, Immaculata University, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has authored several book chapters and journal articles on ethics, and has taught many continuing education workshops on a variety of ethical issues. She currently serves as the Ethics Editor of the Society for Personality Assessment Newsletter, SPA Exchange.
Dr. Knauss’ leadership roles have furthered the development of clinical practice at the local, state, and national levels, for which we also honor her. She served as a member of the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation from 2008 to 2013. In that position, she was Associate Chair for Quality Assurance in 2013. She is the past-president of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Foundation, and the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. Within the PSCP leadership, she has served ably in several positions and helped grow the organization. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association's Council of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania (2000-2006; 2013-2018). Dr. Knauss was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association 2002 Ethics Educators Award and the recipient of the 2004 Pennsylvania Psychological Association Distinguished Service Award. In 2015, she received the American Psychological Association Presidential Citation Award.
Dr. Knauss currently is a Professor at Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology. In addition, she maintains a private clinical practice where she sees children, adolescents, adults, and families.
